- All students are expected to carry their Identity card, duly attested by the principal. The identity card must displayed with the college sash, whenever the students are on the campus.
- Students will not be allowed to enter the college campus without displaying their authorized Identity card. Carrying someone else’s Identity card amounts to an attempt to deceive the college staff and shall invite disciplinary action.
- The students must show their I’Card whenever demanded to do so.
- The identity card must be worn by the students whenever visiting the college office, library or while participating in events including youth festival etc.
- The Code of Conduct is a set of general instructions to be followed by all the students. In addition in some places specific rule of Conduct shall be applicable eg. Library, Laboratory etc. Such additional rules must be respected whenever on these premises.
- The students are expected to be polite and respectful in their conduct and be considerate towards the fellow students. Students are expected to display gentle behaviour and thus avoid quarrels. In case a dispute occurs, intimation is to be given to the principal immediately.
- Students must be punctual about the time and are expected to enter the class room before the arrival of the teacher.
- The Late comers may be granted admission by the teacher, in exceptional cases only, and only if they produce evidence of a valid reason to do so.
- The students must maintain the decorum of the class. In that silence must be observed.
- Students must maintain discipline in-and-outside the classrooms.
- Avoid stand in groups in the corridors, passages etc. Strict action will be initiated against the students not abiding the above, blocking the way or harassing an individual. Students violating the above shall be dealt with strictly for their mis-conduct.
- Students are not allowed to indulge in gossip during a lecture. Any student causing disturbance in smooth conduct of class or causing distraction is liable to face disciplinary action to be taken against him/her.
- Disciplinary action would be initiated against students found involved in violent behaviour inside the Campus. The Principal has right to expel such students.
- Students are expected to attend classes regularly. They should maintain the attendance criteria. A student must attend at least 75% of the total lectures delivered in the class to be eligible for the university examination. No Student may absent himself from the class without proper prior permission. Students must apply on proper leave application, well in time, specifying their reason. The principal may allow leave of absence in authorized cases. Only in cases of sickness leave, the leave application may be submitted after return along with a medical certificate. In such cases the leave application must be submitted within 2 days of re-joining the college.
- All leave applications, countersigned by parents/guardian, should be submitted to the respective class-coordinator well in advance.
- In case a student remains absent without proper application for a period of 10 working days, he/she will be obligated to be taken off the roll numbers.
- Students who exhibit outstanding performance in co-curricular activities like elocution/debate/youth festival/sports/NSS/NCC etc. or are representing the college in Extended Curricular or co-curricular are eligible for leave of absence as duty leave. Such students may earn shortfall in attendance upto 15 days with the recommendation of the faculty-in-charge and production of the Duty leave sanction.
- All the Students are advised to read carefully all the notices displayed on the notice boards and in the student message box and act upon the instructions in such notices.
- Students should visit college library or practice sports during their free periods. Female students can utilize the girls’ common room.
- Students should come to the college in clean and decent dress.
- Students are prohibited to carry any weapon or prohibited items on them on the campus. Possession of lethal weapon, fireworks, firearms, explosive items is strictly prohibited. Any student who is in possession of any of the above mention items/drug/other prohibited items or has consumed any drug/ Alcohol and is present on the campus would be reported to the police and face disciplinary charges for violation of the college regulations.
- Use of tobacco, pan masala, alcohol and any other illegal drugs inside the college campus is strictly prohibited. Possession or consumption of such intoxicants/drugs in any form will attract punishment.
- Students are prohibited to carry their mobile Phone on them in the examination hall Possession of Mobile in the examination hall shall invite initiation of UMC case
- Students must avoid bringing valuables and cash to the college. The college authorities shall in no way be responsible for loss of any valuable/ cash if brought on campus in violation of this code.
- Students must not display unreasonable and impeccable behaviour towards opposite gender. Any such behaviour towards female students or faculty is severely dealt with as per the law. Women cell has been established in this regard.
- Ragging in any form. inside or outside the College Campus is prohibited. Ragging/Sexual harassment in any form is liable to be treated as criminal offence and shall be sternly dealt with as per the prevailing rule of Law.
- The College has constituted Anti ragging committee, Student Grievance Cell and Internal Complaint Committee. The students are advised to approach the Chairperson of the respective committee for getting help in this regard.
- Students suffering from any contagious disease are advised not to attend the College till he/she is in perfect health. Such students must inform the college authorities immediately on contacting such contagious/ infectious disease and would be entitle to Leave of absence on production of medical certificate and Fitness certificate.
- Students are not allowed to bring their personal vehicles on the campus. Students may park their scooters/motorcycles in the parking space allocated for such parking and are not allowed to neither to enter the campus with the vehicle nor park at any other place on the college campus.
- Students should not indulge in rash driving inside the college campus. Violation of this may result in expulsion.
- Students are forbidden to consume eatables/beverages in the classrooms, labs, library, reading halls, seminar halls or activity centres.
- Students should refrain from organizing any meetings or collecting donations for any purpose without an exclusive permission of the Principal.
- No outsider or guest is permitted to be on the campus except with the permission of the Principal ?Authorized person. Even when permitted, such guests are not permitted to visit the common rooms or the study area
- Students are expected to maintain general cleanliness inside the college campus. The waste must be deposited in the respective dustbin. Any student indulged in littering the college campus, Class room, Lab/Library/Computer centre shall invite disciplinary action
- Students must handle the college Fittings and Furniture, notice boards; flex boards and laboratory equipment, Computers and projectors with utmost care. Any damage to the above any equipment/ infrastructure/ Fitting/Furniture shall lead to penalty from the college. Any breakages must be reported to the teacher-in-charge.
- Students must follow the rules as displayed in laboratories, library, Canteen area etc.
- Unreasonable behaviour towards teaching, administration and other departments will lead to a severe action.
- Use of unfair Means during class tests/MST’S/University examinations or in Assignments is strictly prohibited and strict action shall be taken in such a case
- Students are forbidden to submit any assignment/work that is not their own.
- No Student will falsify/ provide wrong evidence with an intention to cheat or for other gains any information to the college officials
- In case of a medical emergency, their own or in their knowledge, the students are expected to inform the appropriate authority or the closest available faculty/ official who then would inform the respective authority to initiate action.
- Students must conserve electricity and water by switching off lights, fans and other equipment/ closing tap while leaving the classrooms, laboratories etc.
