TERMS and POWERS OF THE BOARD of GOVERNORS -
AKLIA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

The term of the Board of Governors shall be three academic sessions unless and otherwise specified.The terms and the powers of the Board of governors shall be as specified in the subsequent paragraphs

The Board of Governors shall be the supreme authority and principal governing body of the University and shall have the following powers,namely

  1. To appoint the Statutory. Auditors of the University;
  2. To lay down policies to be pursued by the University;
  3. To review decisions of the other authorities of the University if they are not in conformity with the provisions of this Act, or the Statutes or the rules;
  4. To approve the budget and annual report of the University;
  5. To make new or additional Statutes and rules or amend or repeal the earlier Statutes and rules;
  6. To make decision about voluntary winding up .of the University;
  7. To approve proposals for submission to the State Government; and
  8. To take such decisions and steps as are found desirable for effectively carrying out the objects of the University;

The Board of Governors, shall., meet at least twice in a calendar year at such time and place as the Chancellor thinks fit.
